Brenda Pole

Brenda Pace is an author and speaker with a passion to bring encouragement and hope to women. The seed of ministering to women was planted when she served as a young pastor’s wife in Georgia and Minnesota. Her vision grew and flourished when her husband, Richard, became an Army Chaplain and she had the privilege and challenge of engaging with military wives around the globe.

She is frequently asked to share her message with women in local churches, MOPS groups, and military chapel settings. She has been the keynote speaker for women’s retreats in Korea, Japan, Turkey, Germany, Italy, and numerous locations across the United States.

A key aspect of Brenda’s focus has been dedicated to develop women to serve as leaders in women’s ministry. She gained practical experience serving at every level of leadership in the military women’s organization, Protestant Women of the Chapel, from president of a local chapter to national leadership as the president of Protestant Women of the Chapel-USA. Her personal experience along with specialized training and education in leadership, has equipped her to encourage and mentor women to develop their full potential for serving in Christ’s kingdom.

As a result of her desire to encourage military spouses Brenda coauthored the devotional book Medals above My Heart, with her friend and fellow military spouse Carol McGlothlin (Broadman and Holman, 2004). In the fall of 2008, The One Year Yellow Ribbon Devotional, Taking a Stand in Prayer for Our Nation and Those Who Serve (Tyndale House), written for both military and civilian readers, by Brenda and Carol made its debut. Both books are enjoying the success of a second printing.

Brenda holds a BA in education from Lee University, a MEd from Columbus State University, and a MA in Christian Leadership from Liberty Theological Seminary.

Brenda currently makes her home in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband Richard. Richard is a U.S. Army chaplain assigned to Ft. McPherson as the command chaplain for ARCENT (Army Central Command). They are the parents of two married sons and the proud grandparents of three terrific grandkids.

medals cover

Medals above My Heart is a book of collected life stories that offer a spiritual focus on the rewards of military life. Although their husbands wear their medals on their uniforms, the wives of servicemen have medals they wear over their hearts too. These may not be tangible medals, but they include the benefits of personal character, leadership development, adventure, relationships and opportunities for service. Each story in this encouraging book includes a Scripture, a prayer and an uplifting message that is sure to encourage and inspire the reader. This book is a great gift for military spouses or anyone who has a desire to better understand military life.  Order Now

The One Year© Yellow Ribbon Devotional (Tyndale House Publishers, October 2008) by Brenda Pace and Carol McGlothlin is meant to bring hope in the midst of tough times. The Yellow Ribbon Devotional includes daily encouragement and prayer topics for our country, soldiers, and all those in harm’s way. It also gives those in the civilian community a greater understanding of the military culture and serves as a tool in praying for America and those who proudly wear the uniform of service. “The call to take a stand in prayer on behalf of our nation, and for those who serve, is one we can all answer,” say Brenda and Carol. As those left behind struggle to find contentment and hope, this devotional will meet their needs as well as encourage all Americans to take a stand by praying for their country and the men and women in the our armed services.  Order Now
